SoloWork.

Your whole business, in one folder, on your computer.

A Windows desktop system for UK sole traders. Projects, clients, invoices, time, finance and a business plan — written to a SQLite database and ordinary files you can open by hand. No cloud account, no sync, no subscription holding your files.

SCROLL — WHAT IT REPLACES
Local-first

If SoloWork vanished tomorrow, you’d still have everything.

One workspace folder on your own disk. A SQLite database and ordinary files. Every invoice is a PDF. Every note is markdown. Every project is a real folder tree you can open in Explorer, back up with anything, and read in ten years without asking permission.

Uninstalling doesn’t touch your data. Moving to a new computer is a folder copy. Running two businesses means two workspaces, with completely separate books.

The account exists only for your licence.
No work data ever leaves the machine.

What it does

Built for one person running one business.

01 / 06
THE WORK

Projects, tasks, time

Every project gets a real folder tree on disk. Tasks read dates and projects out of a one-line sentence. Tracked time flows straight into invoices, and a calendar shows the hours you've already committed.

THE BUSINESS

Clients, invoices, quotes

A client pipeline and contact directory. Invoices and quotes with PDF generation, chasers and retainers. Nothing is emailed to a client without you pressing send.

FINANCE

Expenses, mileage, tax

Expenses, mileage and a tax set-aside that tells you what to leave alone. A finance summary built from what you actually recorded, not from projections.

THE PLAN

The business plan

Attach the plan you have and it lays out the contents and shows what's missing. Or answer plain questions and it writes the first draft. The assistant reads it before every answer.

MARKETING
COMING SOON

Planner and attribution

Say how often you'll show up on each channel and the calendar draws the gaps. Campaigns gather posts, tasks and files. Results tells you where clients actually came from.

WORKSPACES

More than one business

One person, two businesses, completely separate books. Each workspace is its own folder and its own database, and nothing bleeds between them.

Why it’s different

Three things, and they’re all the same thing really.

01

It doesn't pretend to integrations it doesn't have.

It won't post to LinkedIn. Copy-to-clipboard is the entire publishing step, and the app says so plainly. It won't email a client without you pressing send. Nothing is described as automatic that isn't.

02

Figures are derived, never invented.

Utilisation comes from tracked time. Attribution comes from what you told it. Where it can't answer honestly it says nothing rather than showing you an empty chart with a confident axis.

03

Limits never hold your data hostage.

Every tier writes to the same open folder. Drop from Pro to Free with forty clients and you keep all forty, readable and editable. The limit stops you adding, not opening.

The assistant

Claude, with your business plan open and the door locked.

It reads your business plan before every answer, asks permission before changing anything, and cannot leave your workspace folder. It won’t email a client without you pressing send.
