SoloWork is made by Blockout Digital. These terms cover the desktop app, this website and the account that holds your licence.

Who you are buying from

Payment is handled by Stripe as merchant of record. When you buy a subscription your payment contract is with Stripe, not with Blockout Digital — Stripe takes the payment, charges and remits any VAT, issues the receipt and handles refunds and chargebacks. Your receipt will show that the sale was made through Onelink.

The software itself, and the licence to use it, come from Blockout Digital. Support is ours; billing disputes are Stripe’s, though we will help you sort them out.

Your licence

A subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use SoloWork for as long as it is paid for. You may not resell it, rent it out, or share your account credentials.

Seats are counted per platform rather than in total:

• Basic — one Windows computer.
• Pro — two Windows computers, plus one phone once a mobile app exists.

You can release a computer from your account page at any time. A computer that has not checked in for 90 days releases its own seat automatically.

The free trial

New accounts get 7 days of Pro, with no card required. Nothing is charged, and nothing happens automatically when it ends — the app simply stops allowing edits until you choose a plan. Your work stays where it is.

What happens if you stop paying

This matters more than most terms, so it is stated plainly. If a subscription lapses — cancelled, or a payment that could not be taken — SoloWork goes read-only. Everything still opens. Every invoice can still be exported. Nothing is deleted, held back, or made unreadable.

That is possible because your work is not ours to withhold: it is in a folder on your own machine, in real files and one SQLite database. Removing the app does not touch it. We could not delete your work if we wanted to, because we do not have it.

A licence obtained fraudulently, refunded, or charged back may be withdrawn entirely. In that case the app returns to its sign-in screen — and your files are still on your disk, untouched.

What we ask of you

• Do not attempt to circumvent licensing, or use SoloWork without a licence.
• Do not decompile or reverse-engineer the software, except where law allows it.
• Keep your password to yourself. An account is one person.

The AI assistant

The assistant runs your own installation of Claude Code, on your own Anthropic subscription. Blockout Digital does not resell AI, does not store an API key, and does not charge for usage. Your use of Claude is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, and if you do not have Claude Code installed the assistant will not start.

Availability

The licence server is not required for day-to-day use. If it is unreachable the app treats that as being offline and carries on for two weeks before mentioning it. We do not promise a particular uptime, and we do not need to: an outage on our side should never stop you working.

Changes

We may change these terms, the features included in a plan, or the price. Price changes will not apply to an existing subscription without notice by email first. If you do not accept a change, cancel — your files remain yours either way.

Liability

SoloWork is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Blockout Digital is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Keep backups. Your work lives in a folder you control, which makes backing it up a copy-and-paste — and that is your responsibility rather than ours.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
